So we've made it to November, meaning a couple things; firstly, the year is nearly over, second, that a number of amazing fragrances have been released throughout this year, and third, that we at Fragrance Rich need to inform you of our top 10 fragrances released this year. Sit tight and have your credit cards ready, as you are introduced to the 2016 Fragrance Rich heavyweight champions (not in any particular order)...
1) Hugo Boss - BOSS The Scent for Her (Women)
This floral-fruity fragrance opens with promising peach combined with freesia blossom as the top notes. The heart is osmanthus, well known for it's apricot like scent, while the drydown consists of roasted cocoa. This fragrance is "inspired by the art of seduction" and is the feminine parallel to Boss the Scent, which was released in 2015.
2) Chloé - Fleur de Parfum (Women)
As described by Chloé: "A tender floral blend. Chloé Fleur de Parfum is a generous bouquet exclusively composed of the most tender and quintessential part of flowers, their hearts. The fundamental note comes from the rose heart. The heart of verbena flower adds a fresh and luminous verdant dimension while the heart of cherry blossom diffuses milky almond notes. Tender. Modern. Feminine."
3) Chanel - No. 5 L'Eau
Light and airy. No. 5 L'Eau is definitely a relative of the original, simply a little softer. The most prominent notes of this fragrance are lemon, orange, aldehydes, white flower and ylang ylang. Everything about this fragrance points to the idea that Chanel are aiming for the younger market with this one.
4) Roberto Cavalli - Uomo
"Volatile and mysterious, this fascinating scent comes and goes freely, constantly fluctuating. An intense heart of honey facetted with lavender essence adds depth and volume to this catchy overture, building a riveting theme. The hypnotic base note of cedar wood amplifies this fragrant melody. Laced with mesmerizing oriental undertones of patchouli and Tonka beans, its magnetic trail generates a seductive echo. The embossed crocodile motif gives the matching folding box a unique feel. The gold logo and shiny black monogram proudly sign this uncompromising"
5) Versace - Pour Homme Dylan Blue
Donatella Versace is quoted as saying "I have always believed men should be strong, passionate, proud, expressive, unafraid. I love that in today’s world, men feel able to reveal their true natures, to share their passions and their beliefs. It’s there in the fragrance, which is strong, fresh, seductive." about this fragrance. This fragrance has distant similarities to Dior Sauvage and Chanel Bleu, but is much fresher.
