Highlights from the Runway Show
Chloé SS23 was more than a fashion show. It was a sneak peek into a more sustainable future for fashion. It was a powerful rallying call for clean energy.
As Hearst put it, “In this chapter of climate success, the focus of our research was fusion energy as a large-scale, peaceful, clean energy source.”
“The energy that moves our universe will, in the not-so-distant future, help power our world and solve many of our concerns today,” she continued—referencing research into fusion energy, which is touted to be an infinite energy source.
The concept of clean fusion energy reverberated through the collection, which featured a recurring circular motif that served as a figurative ode to a tokamak reactor.
Some celebrities in attendance for this nightclub-esque sustainability fashion event include Katie Holmes, Bobby Wooten III, Derek Blasberg, Ana Kim, Jordan Spence, Naomi Scott, and Sandara Park.
Our Standout Pieces
The Chloé Spring-Summer 2023 ready-to-wear collection featured realistically wearable designs worn by some of the world’s buzziest models—including metallics, leather, and head-to-toe sequins. But which pieces stole the show? Here are our picks—and how we’d imagine they smelled like:
Look 28:Mesh was a recurring trend out of Chloé SS23, but this black netted dress modeled by Paloma Elsesser got our attention for being stunningly unique yet wearable for ardent fashionistas. The gorgeous piece is exactly what Chloé Love Story perfume would smell like—calming, thrilling, and seductive.
Look 5: Gigi Hadid arguably stole the show as she strutted down the Chloé SS23 runway in a stunning see-through silver mesh sheer dress draped over a metallic silver mini. The low-neckline sleeveless dress was topped off with silver platform sandals. Like their Chloé Signature perfume, the look had a futuristic and old-fashioned aura.
Look 27: If Gigi Hadid’s outfit gave off a Chloé Signature perfume vibe, this white trench piece paired with a crop top and capacious rave trousers must be quintessentially Chloé Nomade perfume. It’s a breath of fresh air that tells the story of inspiring encounters and adventurous femininity.
Look 31: Fruity, fresh, and bright—like a bouquet of roses under a pink-tinted sunrise in Paris. This clean and vibrant look from Chloé SS23 would be a perfect pairing for Chloé Signature perfume, with its characteristic scent that opens like a burst of pink petals.
Look 22: This leather outfit with magnified stitching gives off a “let’s ride into the distant horizon” kinda vibe—much like Chloé Nomade perfume. And In line with the overall theme of the runway event, the coat infused the mechanics of the tokamak into the design.
