With Summer now closing out, I am willing to bet you my left arm that you either know someone who has got married or someone you know knows someone who has got married this summer (If you want my arm, you'll have to order 5 items from the site first). But that's beside the point, what we're trying to figure out here is why the world and it's aunty gets married during the summer.
So here's the obvious answer: the weather. Although this cannot be guaranteed (especially if the wedding is held in the UK), summer time is the best chance you have of clear skies, sunshine and a lighter evening. The reception can go on for longer, you can enjoy yourself for longer and there's decreased chance of the rain ruining your dress. The weather is a big point, and although it does so happen that people get married in the rain, it isn't exactly ideal, particularly if you would like an outdoors wedding.
The photographs!! With the weather being bright
and sunny, your pictures will definitely come out better and they will
reflect the happiness of the day as your wedding albums are filled with
that summer glow.
Choice of flowers is another big factor
contributing to summer weddings. There is an increased variety of flower
choice seeing as many flowers don't bloom in the winter months.
Then there's the fact that schools are on holiday. Nearly everyone has children in their family who they would like to attend their wedding, and many people have children and teenagers who play big parts in their lives. The fact that schools are out means that the children and teenagers can be there without any qualms and your favourite little flowergirl can attend. Adults also often find it easier to get time off work during the summer months, so everyone can really enjoy the wedding without the stress of work on their mind. Additionally if they are not getting married in their home country, there is no need for anyone to rush back, enabling relaxation time with family and friends.
