It's valentines weekend, the weekend where us guys expect massive teddies, boxes of chocolate, and hundreds of roses from our lovely ladies. If we're lucky, we may even get a trip to the city of love (Paris), if chance would have it that we may find ourselves in London this Valentine's, we at fragrance rich would like to give you a short list of things that can be done with your significant other; friends, or even a complete stranger if that's what you're into. So here we go...
1) Miss Saigon @ Prince Edward Theatre
Coming from the brilliant minds of those that brought us the world famous Les Miserable, Miss Saigon is an enthralling love story that takes you to the final days of the American occupation of Saigon. The accolades this production has achieved speaks volumes; winning more than 40 awards including 2 Olivier Awards and 3 Tony awards. Seen by around 35million people worldwide, tickets start at only £36pp
2) Royal Observatory @ Greenwich
To look into the eyes of your lover, to the stars, and then back into the eyes of your lover, you find the natural beauty of space reflected in them and fall in love all over again as you become starstruck while stargazing. Watch the stars through the 18-tonne Victorian telescope as the Royal Observatory hosts an evening of romance in which they also put on a splendid planetarium show.
3) The Electric Cinema @ 191 Portobello Rd.
With armchairs and footrests that surpass the comfort of any other Cinema, get that electric feel between you and your valentine. Receiving a 4.7/5 rating on google reviews and nothing but positive comments, this is arguably one of the best cinemas in London; boasting a bar at the back of the cinema, and six double beds in the front row, you'll receive a cinema experience like no other.
4) National Gallery's Friday Late @ Trafalger Sq.
If your taste is in still images as opposed to moving pictures, the National Gallery is always an option. The night is valentine themed, so feel free to try out historical aphrodisiacs or take part in courtly dances, either way, at no cost, and with a first come first serve basis, make sure you get in there early (although it may be too late now. Sorry about the late post)
5) SEA LIFE aquarium
Yeah, fish and penguins are cool, etc. But with valentine's day being the day about 6million people get engaged in America alone (couldn't find the stats for Britain, don't judge me), the SEA LIFE proposal service could just be the weird, out-the-box unexpected and memorable proposal that is needed to get you on the road to wedlock. Special priority service to the aquarium, professional divers holding up a sign of your choice (i'm assuming you'd write "Will you marry me?"), and half a bottle of champagne just to lighten up the atmosphere, what could really go wrong??
