Places that truly make you feel at one with the world. So without further ado, let us begin...
1) Munduk Moding Plantation (Indonesia)
This is an active coffee plantation that also doubles up as a hillside nature resort, spa and boutique. Set in the cool mountain air, the unique selling point of this resort that enables it to top our list is that you can look down from the infinity pool upon the clouds (like seriously, its above the clouds). Other key points that draw us to this resort is the waterfall, open fireplaces in the evenings and majestic dance performances by locals. Certainly one for everyone to visit.
2) Alila Ubud (Indonesia)
Sorry to stay in Indonesia, but we simply cannot help it. This hotel is set along the Ayung River valley and has been designed as a Balinese village. As with the Munduk Moding Plantation, this hotel is endowed with an infinity pool with a spectacular view of the valley. This hotel makes sure that luxury and prestige is at the core of their values, boasting an art gallery, library, a posh bar/restaurant and many more. If all this doesn't entice you and you want to feel even more at one with nature, you can take the 12km journey to the Ubud monkey forest.
3) Conrad Koh Samui (Thailand)
If what you're looking for is a true getaway, far from busy towns and cities, there are little places than this little hotel built on the South-Western tip of the Thai Island. The sunsets are stunning, the spa is sensational, and the dining is deluxe. Amenities include an on-site diving and sailing center, which will allow you to explore the coral reef and swim amongst tropical fish, a fitness centre that will allow you to explore the limits of your body, the aforementioned spa and many more.
