Summer is getting into full swing, which means that if you haven't started your summer clothes shopping, it is about time to do so. In today's article, we will run through some of the key things we'll be looking out for as we do our summer shop, and some key components that may help you to radiate summer from your head to your toes...
1) PINK!!
Summer is associated with happiness,
socialising and that general good feeling. The days are longer, the
nights are warm and welcoming, and many a party is had during this
season. So it's no doubt that the colour pink can easily fit into our
summer collection. Pink is the colour of universal love and love of
oneself, so why not represent this, whether it is a pair of pink shorts
or the pink t-shirt, show others that you are confident, charming, and
friendly.
(Just for the record, pink is a unisex colour, so this point is made to both males and females)
2) All white trainers/shoes!
In terms of dressing up, and having your feet do all the talking for you. There isn't any footwear on the planet that are more noticeable than colgate white trainers/shoes. Really and truly, this footwear will compliment almost any outfit and to take it to that next level, so there's not much that can go wrong (unless of course, someone steps on your foot or someone spills something on them. In such cases, the law does allow murder as a crime of passion)
3) Shades
Whether it be Dolce & Gabbana , Ray Ban, Calvin Klein, or even just a standard set of H&M sunglasses, these are summer essentials. On top of the fact that they protect your eyes from the sun, they allow you to look at absolutely whatever you like, for however long you like, and nobody will ever know. Let's not forget the most important reason to have shades this summer though... all the cool kids are doing it.
4) Little White Dress
Yes, this is summer's answer to winter's little black dress. The beauty behind the LWD is that it can be worn in absolutely any situation you can think of this summer; seaside trips, picnics, BBQs, etc. Although there are connotations of purity and innocence, nowadays, the LWD is seen more like a bold statement by its wearer, and as sure as colgate white trainers will make you noticeable by the masses, the LWD is sure to make you the star of the show.
5) Floral prints
Wake up and smell the flowers! You know the list would be incomplete without throwing word to our florals. This spring/summer, designers really wanted to make a statement with their florals, using unexpected bouquets of flowers quite liberally. This new style that differs from the ditsy and sparing use of flowers in previous years brings a whole new dimension of energy to florals, and we must say, it is something we highly anticipate seeing this summer.
