Renzo Rosso founded Diesel in 1978 with the goal of designing the most cutting-edge denim in the world. Even though diesel was thought of as an alternative fuel amid the international oil crisis, Renzo loved the concept of his company being known as a casual wear option in contrast to the other denim giants that had come before. Renzo wanted to reach the entire world from the outset because his business's namesake was "diesel," a word that may be pronounced identically worldwide. Because of this, these popular scents are also available: "Diesel, Only the Brave; FUEL FOR LIFE; LOVERDOSE."
